My photography is a passionate diversion and at times an escape. Whether I am shooting around the corner or around the world, it is about being in the moment. My tendency is to shoot the grand landscape but I embrace other photographic genres when the opportunity presents itself. Be it on a mountain in the Dolomites at daybreak or looking across the Grand Canyon as a storm brews, I am most content when the light becomes ethereal and the landscape comes alive. Standing there taking it all in is what it is all about to me. My works often transcend but do not deny their literal situation.

I hope these photographs portray some of that feeling.

For capture I use Canon and Panasonic cameras.  For post processing, I employ a variety of programs including Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. All printing is done on an Epson Stylus Pro printer using a variety of fine art papers in both matte and lustre finishes. As much of my work centers on high contrast, particularly black and white tonal contrast, I tend to gravitate to papers capable of printing the deepest blacks ("a high Dmax" in the parlance).

I live in Erie, PA which offers a palette of extreme contrasts.....light, weather, seasons, terrain. I hope you enjoy browsing my site. Further questions or inquiries can be made by using the information on the contact page.
